ATEEZ's Seonghwa is stepping out as a poet. The K-pop group's oldest member shared four original poems written during the period around his 2018 debut, offering fans a rare look at his private writing.

The reading arrived on the 6th through Dingo's "Before Sleep," a bedtime spoken-word series in which artists share personal stories with listeners at the end of the day. In the Seonghwa episode, the singer read the four poems in his own voice, along with essays built from the same material. It was the first time any of the writing had been made public.

A special "Before Sleep" book landed alongside the video. The print edition adds two more poems and two more essays that were not featured in the reading, for a total of four poems and four pieces of prose.

Proceeds from the book will go toward children's welfare. ATEEZ's agency, KQ Entertainment, said profits from distribution will be donated to children's welfare facilities.

Seonghwa's writing project comes as ATEEZ continues one of the strongest commercial runs of its career. The group's 14th EP, "GOLDEN HOUR : Part.5," gave ATEEZ its third career No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the U.S. main albums chart. The album set a new first-week sales high in the United States for the group and extended its streak of top 10 entries on the chart to nine albums in a row. First-week sales in Korea topped 1.88 million copies, giving ATEEZ its seventh million-selling record.

Next up, the group will meet fans at a three-day event, "ATINY'S VOYAGE : TINY MYSTERY," running from the 17th through the 19th at Korea University's Hwajung Gymnasium in Seoul.
