ITZY's Ryujin has addressed a viral moment from a recent concert, when she slipped her hand inside her pants to fix her outfit mid-performance. She said the jumpsuit she was wearing had ridden up so high that it hurt.

The singer opened a live broadcast on the 19th to speak directly to fans. "I've been getting a lot of messages and scolding from people around me," she said. "I want to say sorry to fans and explain what happened with me putting my hand in my pants."

She said the jumpsuit was the reason. "It rode up so high that it hurt. I pulled it down without really thinking, but even I could see my hand went pretty far in there. I guess I've gotten too comfortable around MIDZY," she said, referring to the group's fandom.

She joked that the outfit "was trying to slice me in half and kill me," but quickly turned serious. "Still, you're not supposed to put your hand in your pants in a public place. I was wrong."

Ryujin said a friend made her chant the promise three times. "In public places, especially on stage, I will not put my hand in my pants," she repeated. "I'm disappointed in myself for showing that to the people who love me and always take my side. I'm sorry."

She ended the broadcast on a lighter note, saying she would bring the jumpsuit itself onto her next live stream so it could "give its own statement."

ITZY is currently in the middle of its third world tour, which opened in February at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul. The tour resumes on August 15 in Macau and continues to Taipei, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt and Singapore. Before that leg begins, the group will hold its fifth fan meeting on August 8 and 9 at Olympic Hall in Seoul's Songpa district.
