YENA Keeps Catching Attention With 'Catch Catch' Five Months On
K-pop soloist YENA is enjoying continued success with 'Catch Catch' more than five months after its release.
Released on March 11, 'Catch Catch' is the title track of her fifth EP, 'LOVE CATCHER'. The song captures the tension of a push-and-pull romance over bright electro-pop production.
Her agency, YH Entertainment, said on Aug. 28 that the track peaked at No. 4 on Melon's TOP100. It ranked No. 13 in the latest figures provided by the agency, remaining in the top 20 well into the summer.
The song has also drawn attention in China, entering Tencent Music's Korean-language chart 16 times. Related content on the short-video platform Douyin has accumulated 1.15 billion views.
On Bilibili, the music video has surpassed 8 million views. According to YH Entertainment, it is the platform's most-viewed music video among K-pop songs released this year.
Live shows have helped keep the song in the conversation. YENA toured Seoul, Macau, Taipei and Hong Kong before wrapping up the tour with encore concerts on Aug. 22 and 23.
Beyond music, she has worked as a model and ambassador for brands in the alcoholic beverage, gaming, audio and beauty sectors, alongside game character collaborations.
