WOODZ Shares Vocal Care Routine at ATA Festival 2026 in Seoul

Singer WOODZ, whose real name is Cho Seung-youn, shared his personal routine for protecting his voice while headlining the ATA Festival in Seoul. Known for his strong vocals and distinctive tone, the artist opened up about his craft during the two-day event.

WOODZ performed on the first night of the "Asia Top Artist Festival 2026," held on the 19th at Nanji Hangang Park in Sangam District, Seoul. Now in its second year, the festival featured WOODZ performance of signature tracks including "Drowning" and "CINEMA."

Asked what he thinks draws fans to him, WOODZ pointed to his live shows. "The people who come to my concerts probably know best," he said. "I can show fun sides of myself through performance."

He also named "I'll Never Love Again" as the song from his catalog that he feels the strongest connection to. "It carries that explosive emotion like 'Drowning,' but with a deeper feel," he said. "I still find myself pulling up the music video at home from time to time."

The singer went on to describe the kind of artist he wants to be. "I want to stay a 'question mark' kind of artist," he said. "I want to be someone people are excited to see what's next from, for a long time."

On his post-show vocal care, WOODZ laid out a simple routine. "First, I make sure to stay well hydrated. I chew gum and do things that help soothe my vocal cords after they've been pushed," he said. He added, "After a show, I try not to strain my voice. I talk slowly for about 10 minutes to gradually cool down."

Night one of ATA Festival, held on Oct. 19, featured CNBLUE and WOODZ as headliners, along with &TEAM, LUCY, "Car, the garden", Moon Sang-min, Dynamicduo, Lee Oh-wook, Kim Su-young, and Hi-Fi Un!corn.

Night two, held on Oct. 20, was headlined by ATEEZ and JANNABI. The Han River stage also featured K-POP idol groups KickFlip and Alpha Drive One, along with Choi Ye-na, Lee Mu-jin, URBAN ZAKAPA, Daybreak, Choi Hyun-wook, and Dragon Pony.

WOODZ released his first full-length album, "Archive. 1," in March this year. As an all-around artist, he has built his own lane across rock, hip-hop, and R&B. He writes and composes every track on his albums, allowing him to further develop the sound and story of each release.
