EVNNE has revealed that the group recorded approximately 50 versions of the chorus for its latest title track, "LOOK AT MA," as the five members sought to establish a stronger musical identity with their sixth mini album, "on: our noise."

Released on October 19, the album marks EVNNE's first mini album as a five-member group and features the members' participation in writing lyrics across all five tracks.

In a Q&A shared following the release, Keita explained that the chorus of "LOOK AT MA" went through an unusually extensive creative process.

"We had so many ideas for the chorus that we recorded around 50 different versions of just that section," he said.

Park Hanbin added that the group held several rounds of lyric submissions while searching for words that would give the chorus a sharper impact.

The members were encouraged to experiment with explosive-sounding words, testing different combinations aloud until they found lyrics that matched the song's energy.

Lee Jeonghyeon said the introduction and chorus required particularly lengthy discussions between the members and company staff, even though other sections came together relatively quickly.

The process reflects the greater creative involvement behind "on: our noise," which the members described as their most personally representative album to date.

Park Jihoo said the project was especially meaningful because it was their first mini album together as five members.

"I think this is the album we've had the biggest hand in making, and the one that shows our individual colors most clearly," he explained.

The five-track release explores rage, hip-hop trap and digicore, with the group embracing a more experimental approach to production.

Jihoo also discussed his work on "BLESS," explaining that he focused on creating a more three-dimensional sound through the placement of bass, drums and synthesizers, while using saturation effects to develop its distinctive texture.

For the title track, the members wanted to balance confidence with a relaxed performance style.

"I don't think we're underdogs anymore," Park Hanbin said. "We're at a stage where we're building our own identity and energy."

He added that the group wanted audiences to recognize the momentum EVNNE has developed through the choreography and performance of "LOOK AT MA."

The song's music video takes a similarly spontaneous approach, with Lee Jeonghyeon revealing that many scenes feature the members running around and interacting freely rather than performing synchronized choreography.

The group also hopes to bring that energy to its upcoming concerts.

EVNNE will hold EVNNE FAN-CONCERT [ONE TAKE] IN SEOUL at YES24 Live Hall on November 21 and 22, before continuing to Japan, Taipei, North America and Europe as part of a tour spanning 22 cities.
