A2O LITE Celebrates 'NEON' Win With Behind-the-Scenes Dance Footage
Lee Soo-man is taking a hands-on role with his newest girl group. The CEO of A2O Entertainment was seen personally coaching choreography for rookie girl group A2O LITE in a new behind-the-scenes video.
The clip came from Sunny, a member of Girls' Generation who is currently learning music production at A2O Entertainment. She posted it on her Instagram on Oct. 25 with the caption, "Sharing behind-the-scenes footage to celebrate A2O LITE's debut song 'NEON' getting its first No. 1 on network TV~!!!!"
The win refers to the group's first trophy on a televised weekly music show. These weekly programs are a key stage for K-POP acts.
In the video, Lee works with A2O LITE member Aijing on the song's opening dance moves. He shows her how the kick should begin from the right side and come up toward the front before dropping back down.
"You don't kick from here and come up," Lee says. "You kick from here, come up, and then you come down."
Although a choreographer had already put that part of the routine together. Lee stepped in to fine-tune the details himself, a moment that caught fans' attention.
A2O LITE is a nine-member multinational girl group under A2O Entertainment, which Lee founded in 2020. The group debuted on Oct. 13. "NEON" reached No. 1 on music streaming charts before the group even started its TV music show promotions, and the debut has drawn strong reviews and considerable attention.
The short clip offers a look at how closely Lee is involved with his new act. For a rookie group still in its first promotions, that attention reaches all the way down to the angle of a single kick.
