Bbaek Ga (빽가)

Baek Sunghyun, known professionally as Bbaek Ga (빽가), built his public identity through one of South Korean pop's more durable groups — the co-ed trio Koyote, where he has served as main rapper and lead dancer across the group's long run. Before music, he had an earlier chapter as a professional model, a path he entered after his younger brother applied to a modeling program and Bbaek Ga followed, getting accepted in his own right.

Debut & Formation

Bbaek Ga joined Koyote as the group's maknae — the youngest member — taking on the roles of rapper and dancer in the three-member co-ed lineup. His background in modeling gave him a physical presence on stage that complemented his performance duties, and his identity within the group has remained consistent across its career. Standing at 186 cm, he was a natural fit for the visual demands of both industries.

Activities

Beyond the recording studio and stage, Bbaek Ga has maintained a visible presence in Korean variety and entertainment media. He appeared on Channel A's *Dogs and Wolves Season 2*, where he offered candid moments — including a self-confessed admission about being caught badmouthing fellow Koyote members by bandmate Shinji, an anecdote that drew laughter from the studio. On the same program, he shared a more sobering personal account: the loss of family members in an accident involving a pack of wild dogs, a disclosure that drew significant public sympathy.

He is also set to appear on *Sora and Jinkyung*, where he has discussed his pre-Koyote modeling career and the period he spent in Paris — details that reveal a creative restlessness that predates his music career and has continued alongside it. In a separate, widely noted gesture, he spent twelve hours cleaning the home of a subscriber struggling with depression and panic disorder, an act of personal outreach that resonated with his online audience. Bbaek Ga has also spoken publicly about having overcome a brain tumor, lending additional weight to the personal candor that has become part of his public persona.
