Haeri (해리)

Lee Hae Ri has spent more than a decade as the lead voice of Davichi, the Seoul-based duo whose catalog of melancholy ballads made them one of the more durable acts in Korean pop. Known professionally as Haeri, she serves as the group's leader and main vocalist, a pairing of roles that has defined both her public identity and her place within MBK Entertainment.

Debut and Formation

Haeri is one half of Davichi, a two-member act whose output sits firmly in the Korean ballad tradition. The group built its reputation through emotionally direct vocal performances at a time when K-pop's international profile was dominated by idol choreography and group spectacle — a positioning that set Davichi apart and gave Haeri's voice consistent visibility across Korean radio and drama soundtracks.

Music and Discography

In 2017, Haeri released H, an extended play issued under her own name rather than the Davichi banner. The project represented her most prominent individual statement to that point, stepping outside the duo format while remaining within the MBK Entertainment infrastructure. Beyond that solo effort, her discography as a performer is closely tied to Davichi's releases, with her vocal work appearing regularly on OST contributions — a format that has long sustained ballad artists in the Korean market.

Activities

Alongside her work as a singer, Haeri has pursued acting, broadening her presence beyond the recording and stage context. The combination of performance disciplines is not unusual for artists at her career stage in the Korean industry, though her public profile remains most strongly associated with her vocal identity.
