Han Chaeyoung (한채영)

Han Chaeyoung (한채영), born Kim Jiyoung, is a South Korean entertainer who built her public profile across television, modelling, and music, most notably through her participation in Unnies (언니쓰), a project girl group assembled for the variety-music programme *Sister's Slam Dunk* on KBS2.

Debut & Formation

Unnies was conceived as part of *Sister's Slam Dunk*, a reality format that challenged its cast — established actresses, comedians, and broadcasters — to debut as a genuine idol group. Han Chaeyoung joined the ensemble as a vocalist and visual, bringing with her a background as a model and television personality rather than a conventional idol-system trainee. The project was notable for placing women who were not career singers at the centre of a mainstream K-pop release, drawing attention both for its novelty and for the genuine effort its members invested in performing and recording.

Activities

Beyond the Unnies project, Han Chaeyoung's career has spanned modelling, acting appearances, and MC work, reflecting the cross-platform profile common among South Korean entertainers who move fluidly between broadcasting and performance. Her visibility as a visual member of Unnies reinforced a public image built substantially on her work in fashion and on screen.
