Chae Hyung-won, known professionally as Hyungwon, is a South Korean artist who has built a dual career as a member of MONSTA X and as one half of the MONSTA X sub-unit SHOWNU X HYUNGWON.
Group activity & sub-unit work
Hyungwon is a member of MONSTA X, the group formed through the 2015 Mnet survival program *No.Mercy* and signed to Starship Entertainment. Within MONSTA X, he is recognized for his visuals and performance presence alongside his fellow members. Beyond the main group, he is an active participant in SHOWNU X HYUNGWON, a sub-unit pairing him with fellow member Shownu that has allowed both artists a more focused creative platform separate from the full ensemble.
