Jongho (종호)

Choi Jong-ho — known by his stage name Jongho — anchors ATEEZ as its main vocalist and youngest member, a combination that has made him one of the more closely watched voices in fourth-generation K-pop since the group's debut in 2018.

Debut & Formation

Jongho debuted with ATEEZ on October 24, 2018, under KQ Entertainment, as the maknae — the youngest member — of the eight-member group. Born on October 12, 2000, in Nowon-gu, Seoul, he was still a teenager when the group released its debut EP and began building what would become one of the more sustained international fanbases of the era.

Role Within ATEEZ

His position as main vocalist places Jongho at the center of ATEEZ's live and recorded sound. In a group known for high-energy performance and theatricality, his vocal delivery has served as a consistent anchor — providing the melodic weight that balances the group's choreography-driven presentation. The maknae designation carries its own narrative function in K-pop group dynamics, and Jongho has occupied that role across years of releases and touring without moving into a solo discography of his own, keeping his profile closely tied to the group's collective output.

Activities

Beyond music, Jongho has pursued acting, expanding his work beyond ATEEZ's group activities. The dual occupations of singer and actor, both listed under his KQ Entertainment profile, reflect a career trajectory common among fourth-generation idols seeking to establish individual identities alongside group work.
