Jubi (주비)

Kim Eun Young, who performs under the stage name Jubi, built her early career as the leader and main vocalist of the group Sunny Hill before establishing herself as a solo presence in Korean trot music. Her visibility in the genre grew significantly after appearing as a top-five contestant on the 2020 competition series *Miss Trot 2*, a platform that introduced her to a broader audience and set the stage for her subsequent solo output.

From Group to Solo Stage

Before her trot career took shape, Jubi held a central position in Sunny Hill, serving as both leader and main vocalist. The transition to solo work placed her within the competitive landscape of contemporary trot, a genre that has experienced a sustained commercial resurgence in South Korea over the past several years, driven in part by the popularity of televised competition formats.

Music & Discography

Her recorded output as a solo artist includes at least four singles, with *STARTrot PART.1* released in the period leading up to 2026. The title reflects the straightforward promotional strategy common to trot artists building a catalogue through incremental single releases rather than full-length albums.

Standing in the Genre

Jubi has registered consistent results in audience polling within the trot community. In separate surveys, she ranked first among female trot singers that audiences would want at an outdoor festival and first in a poll gauging which female trot singer would be appealing if they showed jealousy — both measures of the kind of sustained fan engagement that sustains a trot artist's profile between releases. The *Miss Trot 2* top-five placement in 2020 remains a noted reference point in coverage of her career.
