Kim Kyujong (김규종)

Kim Kyujong built his foundation as a member of SS501, the five-piece group that became one of DSP Media's flagship acts during the mid-2000s K-pop wave. He has since extended his presence through the subunit Double S 301 and, more recently, as a member of FIVE O ONE, while maintaining a parallel career as an actor.

Roots in SS501

SS501 gave Kyujong his initial platform, placing him within a group that carried considerable commercial weight in the second generation of K-pop's international expansion. The group's fanbase, known as Triple S, remained notably loyal across years of solo and subunit activity even after the members pursued individual paths — a dynamic that continued to shape how Kyujong's own work was received.

Solo Discography

Kyujong's solo output emerged in the early 2010s. His debut extended play, Turn Me On, arrived in 2011 under CI Entertainment, marking his first release as a standalone artist. A full-length album, Meet Me Again, followed in 2012. The two releases established his presence in the K-pop solo space, drawing from the same melodic pop sensibility that had characterized his group work.

Continued Activity

Beyond his solo recordings, Kyujong has worked across the entertainment spectrum as a singer and actor, a dual-track approach common among second-generation K-pop artists. His more recent group affiliation, FIVE O ONE, represents the ongoing collective side of his career. He has been associated over the course of his career with DSP Media, CI Entertainment, and B2M Entertainment.
