Lee Haein (이해인)

A former contestant on Produce 101, Lee Haein has since moved from performer to architect, most recently stepping into the role of producer behind OWIS, a virtual girl group she directed to a debut in March 2026.

From contestant to creator

Lee Haein's trajectory in the Korean music industry took a significant turn after her appearance on the competitive reality series *Produce 101*. Rather than pursuing a conventional solo or group career in the wake of the show, she channeled her experience into production, eventually overseeing the creation of OWIS — a virtual girl group built around what she has described as a differentiated worldview and a commitment to sophisticated musicality.

Directing OWIS

OWIS made their official debut on 23 March 2026 with their first mini-album MUSEUM, an eight-track release that Lee Haein directed in full. The project drew early attention for the group's solid vocal performances and the members' direct involvement in songwriting, suggesting an approach to idol production that prioritizes artistic ownership alongside a carefully constructed sonic identity. The debut title track, also titled "MUSEUM," served as the group's introduction to music show audiences when OWIS performed on *M Countdown* on 26 March 2026, three days after the album's release.

The scope of Lee Haein's role — credited as director rather than simply a behind-the-scenes writer or consultant — places her among a small number of former idol-competition participants who have pivoted toward shaping other acts rather than remaining in front of the camera.
