Lee Jin Ah (이진아)

Singer-songwriter Lee Jin Ah built a decade-long reputation as one of South Korea's most distinctive indie-leaning voices, working under Antenna Music — the boutique label founded by producer and broadcaster Yoo Hee-yeol — for eleven years before departing in early 2026.

A decade at Antenna

Antenna Music, known for nurturing artists with strong compositional identities, was the home in which Lee Jin Ah developed her craft as both performer and writer. Her association with Yoo Hee-yeol and the label placed her within a small, closely watched stable of singer-songwriters at a time when that lane was gaining renewed attention in the Korean music landscape. The eleven-year tenure speaks to a sustained working relationship that extended well beyond a standard label contract cycle.

Departure and what comes next

In March 2026, Lee Jin Ah confirmed she had left Antenna Music, joining labelmates Kwon Jin-ah and Lee Mi-joo in departing around the same period. In a statement to fans, she expressed deep gratitude toward Yoo Hee-yeol and the company, framing the split as a considered transition rather than a rupture, and pledged to continue making music going forward. The length of the relationship — and the tone in which she chose to end it publicly — underlined the significance Antenna had held in shaping her career.
