Nayoung serves as main vocalist, lead dancer, and center of LIGHTSUM, the eight-member group launched by Cube Entertainment in 2021. Before joining the group, she was part of Banana Culture Girls (Newkid), an earlier pre-debut project that gave her initial training exposure ahead of her eventual debut under Cube.
Debut & Formation
LIGHTSUM debuted in June 2021 with Nayoung occupying one of the group's most prominent performance roles. As center and main vocalist, she carries a dual responsibility that is relatively rare in large-ensemble K-pop lineups — anchoring both the visual presentation and the vocal core of the group's stage output.
