Ryu Hwa Young

Known primarily as a former member of T-ara, one of South Korea's most commercially active girl groups of the early 2010s, Ryu Hwa Young has since built a separate career as an actress and, more recently, as a member of the group Nebula. Born on April 22, 1993, she has moved through several distinct phases of Korean entertainment, from idol group membership to dramatic television roles, across a career that spans more than a decade.

Ryu Hwa Young's entry into the industry came through T-ara, the MBK Entertainment–signed girl group that dominated Korean pop charts in the late 2000s and early 2010s. Her tenure with the group placed her within one of the era's most prolific idol acts, though she has since pursued an independent path. She currently holds membership in Nebula (네뷸라), a separate group under MBK Entertainment.

In April 2026, she announced her upcoming marriage to a businessman three years her senior, with the wedding scheduled for September 12, 2026. The announcement was followed by an active social media presence — documenting the engagement period, including a luxury ring reported to be worth over 10 million won — and a stated intention to appear on a couple-themed variety program following the wedding. She also noted a desire to resume acting work.
