Seungwoo (승우)

A praised performance on *Immortal Songs* in early 2026, reinterpreting a song by the late Kim Kwang-seok, offered a reminder of where Ha Sung Woon has always stood: somewhere between precision craft and genuine feeling. The Korean singer built his public profile through Produce 101 Season 2, finishing 11th to earn a place in Wanna One, and has sustained a solo career since 2019 that persists well beyond the temporary-group model that launched him.

From Hotshot to Wanna One

Ha Sung Woon was already an active idol before the competition circuit reshaped his trajectory. He was a member of Hotshot before appearing on Mnet's *Produce 101 Season 2* in 2017, the reality survival format that assembled a temporary eleven-member group from a pool of trainees and active artists. His 11th-place finish secured him a position in Wanna One, which went on to become one of the defining commercial acts of the late 2010s Korean pop landscape before disbanding in January 2019 following a fixed contract period.

Solo career and enlistment

Following Wanna One's conclusion, Ha Sung Woon launched his solo career in 2019. He subsequently fulfilled his mandatory military service obligation, enlisting for active duty in 2022.

The Wanna One reunion

Seven years after the group's original run ended, Wanna One's members reunited for the Mnet Plus original reality programme Wanna One Go: Back to Base, which began airing in 2026. The show drew considerable attention, with Ha Sung Woon among its more prominent presences — sharing candid moments with former members including Lai Kuanlin and Park Ji-hoon, and reconnecting with a fanbase that had followed the group's trajectory across the intervening years. The reunion coincided with the Wannalist DAY project, described as an effort by the members to fulfil fans' wishes and express gratitude after their seven-year separation.

Profile and public standing

Across the spring of 2026, Ha Sung Woon placed first in numerous fan-driven polls — measuring preferred companionship for everything from cherry-blossom walks to beach trips — reflecting a sustained level of public warmth that extended beyond the immediate boost of the Wanna One reunion. He was also recognised in TenAsia's monthly Artist Top Ten K-Pop Boy Brand rankings for both April and May 2026, a global voting competition that tracks the most talked-about domestic artists, placing him alongside acts including BTS and NCT. He is scheduled to appear at the NOL Festival in October 2026.
