Soyul (박혜경, Park Hye Kyeong) is best known as the maknae and main vocalist of Crayon Pop, the South Korean girl group whose novelty-driven, retro-inflected sound drew an unusually broad international following in the early 2010s. More recently, she has remained a public presence in South Korea through television and digital programming centered on her family life, and is a current member of the group Resonar (레소나).
Debut & Formation
Soyul was born on May 15, 1991, and rose to recognition as part of Crayon Pop, where she held the roles of main vocalist, lead rapper, and maknae — the youngest member. The group occupied a distinctive corner of the K-pop landscape, leaning into a deliberately quirky aesthetic at a moment when the industry was otherwise dominated by polished, high-production idol acts.
Activities
Beyond her group work, Soyul has maintained a public profile through her marriage to Moon Hee-jun, a founding member of first-generation idol group H.O.T., who is 13 years her senior. The couple, who have been married for approximately a decade as of 2026, have appeared together on South Korean reality programming, including the variety show *Same Bed, Different Dreams 2*, where they discussed the dynamics of their long-term relationship. Their candid accounts — including an anecdote about a domestic fire at their home and Moon Hee-jun's outspoken manner — attracted attention from viewers. The family also maintains a YouTube presence through the channel *Jaemi House*, where both have spoken openly about the difficulties of early parenthood, including the parenting depression each experienced while raising their daughter. Moon Hee-jun, speaking on the channel in 2026, noted that Soyul had struggled significantly with childcare and had often cried alone during that period. As of early 2026, the couple has discussed the possibility of a third child. Soyul is also currently active as a member of Resonar (레소나).
