Sunghoon

Before joining one of K-pop's more prominent fourth-generation acts, Park Sung-hoon was competing on ice. Known professionally as Sunghoon, the South Korean artist parlayed a background as a competitive figure skater into a career as a vocalist and visual member of ENHYPEN, the group formed through Belift Lab following the 2020 reality competition *I-Land*.

From the rink to the stage

Sunghoon's pre-debut identity as a figure skater is among the more distinctive origin stories in his generation of K-pop. Where many trainees enter the system young through conventional audition pipelines, his athletic background gave him a physicality and stage discipline that translated visibly into performance. He was cast into *I-Land*, Belift Lab and Big Hit Music's televised trainee competition, and made the final cut into ENHYPEN alongside six other members when the group debuted in November 2020.

Role within ENHYPEN

Within ENHYPEN, Sunghoon is primarily recognized for his contributions as a vocalist and for his visual presence — an acknowledged role in K-pop group dynamics that carries weight in the group's public identity and marketing. ENHYPEN as a whole has built a substantial international following since their debut, and Sunghoon's individual profile has grown alongside the group's output across multiple album cycles under Belift Lab.

Beyond the music

In early 2026, Sunghoon took part in a Korean media feature marking the Lunar New Year's Year of the Horse, in which he shared a message directed at fans: "Let's be healthy in body and mind." The sentiment, while brief, reflects the kind of direct fan communication that remains a consistent part of how K-pop artists maintain their public presence between releases.
