Click-B (클릭비)
ActiveClick B (클릭비) arrived at the tail end of the first generation of K-pop's idol era, debuting on August 7, 1999, under DSP Media at a moment when the genre's commercial architecture was still being assembled. An eight-member dance-pop outfit with live instrumentation woven into their lineup, the group released four studio albums across the early 2000s and built a following — known as Nizi — that tracked their activity through both their active years and later reunion appearances.
Debut and Formation
The group formed in 1999 and moved quickly, issuing their self-titled debut album *Click-B 1st* the same year. The follow-up, *Challenge*, arrived in 2000, and *Click-B 3* extended the run into 2001. A fourth album, *Cowboy*, came in 2003, rounding out their primary recording period. What distinguished the group from many contemporaries was the presence of functioning instrumentalists within the lineup — a drummer, a bassist, a guitarist, and a keyboardist — alongside the vocalists and rappers more typical of the era's idol format.
Members
Click B's eight-member roster spans vocal, rap, and live instrument roles:
- Taehyung / Kanghoo (강후) — leader, lead vocalist, keyboardist
- Jonghyuk — main vocalist, bassist
- Yunsuk — main rapper, sub vocalist
- Hoseok / Evan (에반) — sub vocalist, sub rapper
- Sanghyuk — sub vocalist, sub rapper
- Minhyuk — guitarist
- Hyungon — drummer
- Oh Jong-Hyuk — member
Activities
Decades after their initial run, the members have remained connected enough to act collectively — a 2026 account of the group holding a formal meeting to support member Kim Sanghyuk during a period of personal public scrutiny illustrated a cohesion unusual for acts of their vintage. Whether that closeness translates into further recorded or performed work, the material does not confirm.
