DKB (다크비)

DKB (다크비) arrived in February 2020 under Brave Entertainment, an eight-member group navigating the crowded post-fourth-generation landscape with a grounded work ethic that has become as much a part of their identity as their music.

Debut & Formation

The group launched on February 3, 2020, with a lineup that would eventually settle at eight members: E-Chan, D1, GK, Heechan, Lune, Junseo, Yuku, and Harry-June. Former member Teo has since departed. Brave Entertainment, the agency behind the group, is best known as the home of producer Brave Brothers, giving DKB a production lineage with deep roots in mainstream Korean pop.

Activities

In early 2026, DKB offered a candid window into their day-to-day reality through an appearance on YouTube's *Human Story*, where the members spoke openly about dorm life, deliberately cutting food costs in order to fund more practice time. The segment drew attention not for its hardship angle but for what it revealed about the group's priorities — a sustained, unglamorous commitment to craft at a point in their career when the work of staying sharp falls largely on the group itself. The episode coincided with preparations for a Japan concert, with footage of the members in intense dance rehearsals underscoring the professionalism that has defined their public image.

Legacy

DKB represents a strand of the K-pop industry that operates away from the headline-dominating agencies, building a fanbase — known as LUNE — through consistency and direct engagement rather than blockbuster rollouts. With five years of activity behind them and an expanding footprint in Japan, the group's trajectory reflects the longer, quieter arc that many independent-label acts navigate in a market that rewards patience as often as it rewards spectacle.
