Gaeul (가을)

As a member of IVE, the six-member girl group launched by Starship Entertainment in December 2021, Gaeul has been part of one of the most commercially prominent acts in the fourth generation of K-pop. Born Kim Ga Eul on September 24, 2002, she operates within the group as a rapper and dancer, contributing to a lineup that has produced some of the era's more durable singles.

Role within IVE

IVE debuted to immediate chart attention, and Gaeul has been a consistent presence across the group's releases and promotional activity. Within the group's six-member structure, she occupies a rap and dance role, a combination that places her at the more rhythmically driven end of IVE's performance dynamic. Her stage name, Gaeul, means "autumn" in Korean — a detail that has fed a degree of distinct visual and personal branding around her within the group's fanbase.

Activities beyond the group

In March 2026, Gaeul launched a solo YouTube channel titled Gaeul's Temperature, releasing her first content independently of group schedules. The channel's debut video showed her creating a vision board, during which she described IVE as central to her life, and she also discussed reading as a personal hobby — a relatively candid format compared to standard promotional content. The channel represents one of the clearer windows into her individual presence outside of group activity.

That same period saw her build a parallel profile in fashion media. In April 2026, she appeared on the cover of the Chinese fashion magazine *KNIGHT*, working across a range of visual concepts — from a heavily styled, high-glamour look to more natural presentation. The spread drew attention to her range as a cover subject. She has also attended brand events in this capacity, including a Senka pop-up commemorative photo event held in Seoul's Seongdong-gu district in May 2026.

Standing

The material available on Gaeul as an individual is still forming. Her public profile to date has been shaped primarily through IVE's collective output, with solo activity in its early stages. The launch of her YouTube channel and her increasing presence in fashion media suggest a gradual, deliberate expansion of her individual footprint — consistent, in that respect, with how many K-pop group members build a parallel identity over time.
