Girl's Day (걸스데이)

Girl's Day debuted on July 7, 2010, under Dream Tea Entertainment, entering a crowded second generation of Korean girl groups and spending several years carving out a distinct identity before breaking through as one of the genre's more recognizable acts of the early-to-mid 2010s. Their fandom, known as DAI5Y, followed the group through a fluctuating lineup and a gradual shift toward a more mature, polished sound that eventually defined their peak commercial period.

Debut & Formation

The group launched with a lineup that would shift considerably before stabilizing, eventually settling into a seven-member configuration. The current roster comprises Sojin, who serves as leader and lead vocalist; Minah and Jiin, both main vocalists; Jisun, a lead vocalist and sub-rapper; Yura, who holds the visual position alongside duties as main rapper and lead dancer; Jihae, main dancer and main rapper; and Hyeri, the group's maknae and face of the group, credited as main dancer, lead rapper, and vocalist. The breadth of vocal and performance roles distributed across the lineup gave Girl's Day a degree of versatility that the group drew on as its sound evolved.

Activities

Outside of group activity, individual members have pursued careers across entertainment more broadly. Minah married actor On Joo-wan, and the couple drew attention in early 2026 when Minah shared updates from a trip to Fukuoka, Japan, with her husband, whose presence — an umbrella held in the rain — quietly made its way into her social media posts. On Joo-wan separately appeared on the variety program *Jeon Hyun-moo's Plan 3*, discussing personal details including his background as a b-boy. The candid, low-key nature of these appearances reflects the kind of settled public profile several Girl's Day members have maintained as the group moves further from its active promotional peak.
