HELLOVENUS (헬로비너스)

Hello Venus (헬로비너스) launched in June 2012 with a concept built around vivid, summery pop and a deliberately glamorous presentation — the group's name itself signaling the aesthetic ambition behind the project. Over a career that stretched across several years and multiple lineup changes, the eight-member girl group navigated a shifting K-pop landscape while building a devoted following known as Hello Cupid.

Debut and Formation

The group debuted on June 6, 2012, entering a competitive mid-generation girl group field. Their roster evolved considerably over time, expanding from an original core lineup to ultimately encompass members who went by the stage names Alice, Ara, Lime, Nara, Seoyoung, Yeoreum, Yoonjo, Yooyoung, and others across various configurations. Alice served as leader and main vocalist and was listed as the face of the group during her tenure, while Ara also held a leadership role alongside her position as main vocalist. Lime contributed as main rapper, main dancer, and lead vocalist, and Yoonjo served as main vocalist — a depth of vocal and performance roles that reflected the group's attempt to cover considerable stylistic ground.

The group's full membership across its active period included:

The group's membership shifted across its run, with several original and mid-career members departing as others joined, a pattern common among K-pop acts that maintained activity over multiple years.

Activities

Several Hello Venus members pursued individual careers in acting and entertainment alongside and after their time with the group. Most notably, Lee Hwa-kyum — who performed under the stage name Yooyoung — transitioned into a career as an actress following her time with the group. In March 2026, she announced her upcoming wedding, sharing the news publicly alongside wedding photographs and describing her future husband as "a reliable and grateful person." She indicated her intention to continue developing her acting career following the marriage.
