Kep1er (케플러)

Nine members assembled through Mnet's survival competition *Girls Planet 999* debuted on January 3, 2022 as Kep1er, a group formed under Swing Entertainment and WakeOne from a multinational pool of Korean, Japanese, and Chinese contestants. The group's formation reflected a model that had defined a generation of K-pop acts: a televised selection process converting viewer investment directly into commercial debut, with the resulting lineup carrying built-in fandom before a single was released.

Debut & Formation

*Girls Planet 999*, which aired in 2021, drew contestants from Korea, Japan, and China, and the nine women who emerged as Kep1er brought that cross-cultural composition into the group's identity. The final lineup — Yujin, Xiaoting, Hikaru, Huening Bahiyyih, Dayeon, Youngeun, Chaehyun, Mashiro, and Yeseo — spans all three national tracks of the competition, making Kep1er one of the more genuinely multinational acts to come out of the survival-show format in that period.

The group's name is styled with the numeral 1 embedded in it, a nod to the aspiration of becoming number one, and their fandom carries the name Kep1ian.

Members

The nine-member lineup has remained intact since debut:

• Yujin
• Xiaoting
• Hikaru
• Huening Bahiyyih
• Dayeon
• Youngeun
• Chaehyun
• Mashiro
• Yeseo

Huening Bahiyyih is the younger sister of TXT member Huening Kai, a connection that drew considerable attention during and after the competition. Xiaoting, representing the Chinese track, has maintained a visible profile in China alongside the group's broader activities, including scheduled appearances in Shanghai as recently as mid-2026.

Activities

Kep1er's activity has extended across multiple markets in keeping with the group's multinational composition. Xiaoting in particular has continued to represent the group's presence in China, traveling for regional schedules that reflect how management has approached the group's cross-border reach.

The group's fandom, Kep1ian, developed its foundation during the broadcast period of *Girls Planet 999*, giving Kep1er an organized support base at the point of debut — a structural advantage that survival-format groups have consistently leveraged in the years since *Produce 101* established the template.
