As the youngest member of IVE, Leeseo has been part of one of South Korea's most commercially prominent girl groups since the act's debut under Starship Entertainment in December 2021. Born Lee Hyunseo on February 21, 2007, she entered the industry at an unusually young age, making her mark not through solo records but through her role within a group whose debut single "ELEVEN" placed IVE immediately at the center of fourth-generation K-pop conversation.
Debut & Formation
Before IVE, Leeseo was a member of AKIZ, a pre-debut unit under Starship Entertainment where she contributed as both a vocalist and rapper. That training ground gave way to IVE's launch, with Leeseo as the group's maknae — the Korean industry term for the youngest member — a role she has publicly embraced. In a February 2026 interview marking her transition to adulthood under the Korean age system, she noted that nothing had fundamentally changed and expressed a lighthearted wish to "remain IVE's maknae forever."
Activities
Beyond her work with IVE, Leeseo maintains a presence at brand events and public appearances that reflect the group's broader commercial profile. In May 2026 she attended a flagship store grand opening in Mapo-gu, Seoul, and the same month was announced as the ceremonial first-pitch thrower for an LG Twins versus Doosan Bears baseball game — her first such appearance since debut, which she described as both nervous-making and exciting. She is signed to Starship Entertainment.
