ITZY's Ryujin Swaps Souls with Lee Jun-young in Surprise Drama Cameo

ITZY's Ryujin made a surprise cameo in the finale of JTBC drama "Reborn Rookie" (Sinipsawon Kang Hoejang), swapping souls with lead actor Lee Jun-young in one of the episode's most talked-about scenes.

The drama wrapped its run recently on JTBC. In the final episode, Ryujin appeared as a character modeled on herself. After bumping into Hwang Jun-hyeon, played by Lee Joon-young, the two characters swap bodies. Her scene was short, but it left an impression.

Ryujin played the disbelief of waking up in someone else's body, delivering lines like "Wait a minute. That's not me" and "That one over there is the real me." After the episode aired, viewers online praised her delivery, with comments such as "her acting tone is good" and "I'd like to see her as an actor."

Ryujin later shared behind-the-scenes photos on her personal social media. "I had the great opportunity to make a special appearance in the final episode of 'Reborn Rookie,'" she wrote. "It was an honor, and I'm grateful to the seniors and staff who took such good care of me."

The finale drew a nationwide rating of 13.6 percent, the highest of the drama's run. Even so, some viewers felt the ending fell short, pointing to the sudden body-swap twist and a rushed romance as weak points in the wrap-up.
