Former 4Minute Member Kwon So-hyun Shows New Side in Lifetime Drama 'Love in Sync'

Kwon So-hyun, the former 4Minute member turned actress, is showing a sharper side in the new K-drama "Love in Sync." She plays a young star who can turn cold in one scene and soft in the next, and the contrast is driving her storyline.

Episodes three and four of "Love in Sync" aired on the 11th and 12th. Kwon So-hyun appears as Han Yi-jin, an actress and former girl group member.

Han Yi-jin has just signed an exclusive contract with the agency that represents Yoo Ji-an, played by Kang Min-ah, an actress caught in a workplace abuse scandal. When the agency's CEO compares the two women in front of her, Han Yi-jin holds a pointed, unreadable look that tightens the mood in the room. Moments later, in a scene with Cha Eun-hwan, played by Kim Myung-soo, she brightens completely, signaling that the relationships around her are about to shift.

Her tension with Yoo Ji-an quickly turns into the show's central love triangle. By the end of the episode, Han Yi-jin is already plotting to put Yoo Ji-an in a difficult spot, setting up the next stretch of the story.

Kwon So-hyun carries the character's mixed emotions in her face and delivery. She stays icy and distant around Yoo Ji-an, then softens her eyes the moment Cha Eun-hwan walks in.

The role is a shift for her. Kwon So-hyun has mostly played grounded, everyday young-adult characters in recent years. In "Love in Sync," she leans into the ambition and pressure of a rising star, giving her a different register to play in.

"Love in Sync" airs Saturdays and Sundays at 10:50 p.m. KST on Lifetime. It also streams on LG U+ tv mobile and Disney+.
