Hwang In-youp and Hyeri Share First Kiss on ENA's 'Dream to You'

Actors Hwang In-youp and Hyeri pushed their characters into new territory on the latest episode of ENA's "Dream to You," ending the night with a first kiss. Ratings for the fourth episode dipped slightly after holding in the low 2% range.

Episode 4 of "Dream to You" aired on the 21st and showed Woo Su-bin, played by Hwang In-youp, and Joo I-jae, played by Hyeri, growing closer as they prepare a film called "Gyeongseong Love Song" together. According to Nielsen Korea, the episode drew a 2.7% nationwide household rating, down from 2.9% for the third episode.

What moved Joo I-jae was Woo Su-bin's sincerity. When she hesitated over his offer to make the film together, he told her, "You're the owner of this story. I'll be with you on that journey, all the way to the end." The line gave her the push she needed to chase her dream again.

Joo I-jae accepted the offer and started work on the script. But the writing didn't come easily. Worried that Woo Su-bin would be let down, she kept taking hosting gigs on the side. When he found out, he comforted her with another line that landed. "Putting out something amazing isn't what makes it great," he said. "Us going all the way to the end, that's what's great."

The tension between Joo I-jae and her mother, Park Hyun-ok, played by Park Myung-shin, also carried through the episode. Park Hyun-ok was already saddened to learn her daughter had quit her reporter job. When she heard Joo I-jae was making a movie with Woo Su-bin, she thought back to a car accident 15 years earlier and pushed back hard. The argument escalated, and both sides said things that cut.

Working on the script drew Woo Su-bin and Joo I-jae closer. The two fell asleep while watching a film and woke up to an awkward moment, which Woo Su-bin brushed off with a joke that lightened the mood.

From there, something shifted. While talking through the emotional arc between Mu-gyeom and Nan-yeong, the leads of "Gyeongseong Love Song," Joo I-jae started to notice her own feelings. She stepped away, unsettled, but when Woo Su-bin came looking for her, she was the one who leaned in first.
