Tom Holland Recommends London Lunch to Epik High
Korean hip-hop trio Epik High traveled to London to sit down with the cast of "Spider-Man: Brand New Day." The group released the interview on its official YouTube channel EPIKASE on the 30th, under the title "Spider-Man Recommends Lunch ft. Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon."
The video shows Epik High meeting with Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon in London. Jacob Batalon recalled meeting Tablo during the 2019 Asia press tour, and Tablo remembered the encounter and greeted him warmly.
Before the interview, the two sides played a 3-on-3 friendship test. Epik High had matched their answers in advance and moved through the game in sync. The actors, who had not prepared, gave different answers and drew laughs from the room.
The conversation moved to Korean food. Asked what he had tried in Korea, Tom Holland talked about visiting a market with actor Jake Gyllenhaal and said he drank "something like milk." Epik High guessed it was likely makgeolli, a traditional Korean rice wine. Zendaya asked for Korean food recommendations, and Jacob Batalon brought up sannakji, or live octopus.
Epik High also asked Tom Holland, a London native, for a lunch recommendation. Tom Holland pointed to one of his regular spots and mentioned that his own non-alcoholic beer brand was also served there. After the interview, the group took a photo with the cast and joked that they would put the meal on Tom's tab, keeping the mood light.
The group also worked in questions tied to the film's premise. They asked the actors what they would do for 24 hours if no one could recognize them, using the setup to draw the cast into a conversation that tied back to the movie.
The episode closes with Epik High visiting the restaurant Tom Holland recommended and sharing their thoughts on the interview. They wrapped the episode by talking about which superpowers they would want if they became superheroes themselves.
