SHINee's ONEW to Pre-Release Japanese Single 'KAKERA'

SHINee member ONEW will pre-release the title track of his upcoming Japanese single on September 9, ahead of the full release later that month.

The singer's agency shared the promotional schedule on his official social media accounts at midnight KST on August 11.

The single, "KAKERA -Unmei no Piece-," is his fourth in Japan. The schedule video builds on an earlier trailer, using puzzle pieces as its central motif to hint at the "fragments of fate" theme in the title.

According to the schedule, ONEW will roll out four concept photos, a tracklist, a music video teaser, a highlight medley, and an album commentary in the lead-up to release. The title track "KAKERA -Unmei no Piece-" and its music video drop first, on September 9 at 6 p.m. KST.

The project marks his first release in Japan in about a year. His previous Japanese mini-album, "SAKU," arrived in October of last year. The new single leans on his vocals and lyrics to carry its message.

ONEW will also headline solo concerts in Tokyo on September 22 and 23, timed to the release. The shows, titled "2026 ONEW CONCERT 'ONEW THE LIVE : Q'," are built around the questions he faces as an artist and the process of finding his own answers on stage.

The full audio for "KAKERA -Unmei no Piece-" arrives on September 16 at 6 p.m. KST on major streaming platforms.
