Christopher Nolan, Matt Damon Donate 'You Quiz on the Block' Prize to Children

Christopher Nolan and Matt Damon turned their Korean variety show winnings into a donation for children.

The "Odyssey" director and star appeared on the 355th episode of tvN's "You Quiz on the Block," which aired on the 12th under the theme "Dreams Are Powerful." After playing the show's quiz segment with host Yoo Jae-suk, the pair announced that they would donate their full 1 million won prize to help children from underserved communities watch movies in theaters.

Nolan also sent a message after filming wrapped. "Sometimes a single film can change someone's life," he said. "I hope we live in a world where everyone can experience the inspiration, perspective and possibility that movies offer, right there in the theater."

The episode was built around guests whose stories centered on dreams and persistence. Comedian Lee Sun-min joined the lineup, along with writer Jeon Kyeong-cheol, known online as the "Peter Pan Father."

Jeon spoke about his search for a stable home for his 27-year-old son, who has severe autism and a mental age of about 2. He described looking for a place his son could live safely, a search he continued even while dealing with his own illness. After the broadcast aired, donations began arriving through Jeon's social media accounts.

The episode also topped its time slot in the ratings. It drew an average household rating of 4.3 percent nationwide and peaked at 5.7 percent, according to Nielsen Korea's paid platform data. In the Seoul metropolitan area, it averaged 4.2 percent and peaked at 5.4 percent, ranking first in its time slot among cable and general programming channels. It also placed first across all channels, including broadcast networks, in the key men and women 20-to-49 demographic.

Next week's episode will feature world barista champion Jeon Ju-yeon, chefs Lee Yeon-bok and Yoo Bang-nyeong who faced off as rivals on "Street Restaurant Fighter," 2026 Blue Dragon Series Awards best supporting actress winner Park Bo-kyung, and comedians Kim Jun-ho and Kim Dae-hee.
