IDID's Park Sung-hyun Pauses Activities Over Back Pain, Sinus Issues

Park Sung-hyun of the K-pop boy group IDID is stepping back from part of his schedule to focus on his health. His agency, Starship Entertainment, shared an update on his condition on Aug. 18.

Starship said Park recently visited a hospital for ongoing back pain and discomfort in his nasal septum area. After treatment and a procedure, doctors advised him to avoid strenuous movement for the time being and get enough rest.

Because of that guidance, Park will not take part in some of his upcoming activities. That includes a celebratory performance at the opening ceremony of the Daegu World Masters Athletics Championships on Aug. 21.

"Park Sung-hyun has a strong desire to return to activities as soon as possible," the agency said. "But above all, we plan to manage his schedule with the artist's health and recovery as our top priority. Decisions on future schedules and his return will be made after closely monitoring his progress."

IDID debuted in Sept. of last year and has kept a busy pace since. The group appeared on "2026 SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer" on Aug. 17. Before that, the members performed at the "2026 Caribbean Bay Water Music Pool Party," held at Caribbean Bay in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province.
