Seungri, the former BIGBANG member whose real name is Lee Seung-hyun, has resurfaced in Vietnam. Vietnamese new media outlet S Channel posted a video to its official social media on August 21 showing him arriving at an event venue in Hanoi.

In the footage, Seungri walks into the venue in a beige jacket and light-wash jeans, guided by a security guard holding an umbrella. Rain had darkened the shoulders of his jacket. He also looked noticeably heavier than in the past.

According to the outlet, Seungri visited the Hanoi Opera House, a city landmark, on August 20. He reportedly attended the opening event for "AY-VY Hanoi." His name was not on the official guest list.

Seungri debuted with BIGBANG in 2006. He was pushed out of the entertainment industry in 2019 after being named a central figure in the "Burning Sun" scandal. He was indicted on nine charges, including prostitution mediation, habitual gambling, violation of the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act, and occupational embezzlement. The Supreme Court finalized a sentence of one year and six months in prison, and he was released in February 2023.

Meanwhile, BIGBANG has launched a world tour to mark its 20th debut anniversary this year. G-DRAGON, TAEYANG, and DAESUNG performed in Goyang from August 21 to 23. The three members will continue with 33 shows across 19 cities in North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia.
