izna Hits Shinjuku With "DUMB HOT!" as Japanese Debut Kicks Off
izna has officially begun their Japanese debut activities with the release of "DUMB HOT!" and a countdown event in Tokyo's Shinjuku district.
The group released the music video for "DUMB HOT!," the title track from their first Japanese mini-album "HANDLE WITH CARE," through their official YouTube channel on September 2.
"DUMB HOT!" pairs an upbeat rhythm with a catchy melody, carrying a message of confidence and embracing one's individual appeal. The track combines izna's bright, dreamy sound with lyrics centered on maintaining a sense of self while navigating unfamiliar feelings of love.
The accompanying music video follows the members as they experience the uncertainty of new romantic feelings without allowing themselves to be swept away by them. The video also places the group's choreography at the center of several scenes.
To mark the music video's premiere, izna held a countdown event at a large outdoor plaza in Shinjuku on the same day. There, "DUMB HOT!" was shown on a large screen at the venue before the members appeared onstage to speak about their Japanese debut and meet with local fans.
During the event, izna also performed "DUMB HOT!" and "SIGN (Japanese Ver.)" for the first time. The group later took a photo with attendees and participated in a group "DUMB HOT!" challenge.
The Shinjuku event is part of a wider promotional schedule surrounding izna's Japanese debut. The group will hold a debut showcase in Japan on September 6, followed by appearances at local festivals, radio programs and live broadcasts.
izna is also set to collaborate with Japanese record store Tower Records on a themed cafe as part of the promotional campaign for "HANDLE WITH CARE."
