Ryu Sujeong Like You've Never Seen Her
Ryu Sujeong of K-pop girl group Lovelyz is previewing her new solo EP through three sharply contrasting visual concepts.
Ryu shared three sets of concept photos for her fourth mini-album, "ALL THE COLORS I AM," on her official social media accounts on Sept. 3. Each set captures a different side of the singer, ranging from dreamy and delicate to mature and unconventional.
The first concept, "Diamonds so bright," shows Ryu lying on top of a car and gazing into the camera with a dreamy expression. Her soft styling and the cinematic atmosphere make the image resemble a still from a film.
The mood shifts in the second concept, "Feeling alright." Set against red lighting, Ryu sports blonde hair and a more mature, sophisticated look, creating a stark contrast with the first set of photos.
For the final concept, "Diamonds so kitsch," Ryu undergoes another dramatic transformation with a bold short hairstyle. Her distinctive styling and cool expression highlight a more unconventional side of her visual identity.
"ALL THE COLORS I AM" explores the different sides of Ryu's inner world without confining her to a single image or style. The album traces the process of accepting past wounds, growing stronger and finding one's own light.
Ryu debuted as a lead vocalist of Lovelyz before establishing herself as a solo artist with her distinctive voice and songwriting skills. The upcoming EP marks her first release since signing an exclusive contract with entertainment company all my anecdotes.
Ryu Sujeong's fourth mini-album, "ALL THE COLORS I AM," will be released on Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. KST through major streaming platforms. Pre-orders open on Sept. 4 at 3 p.m. KST through online album retailers.
