NewJeans' Haerin Makes First Public Appearance Since ADOR Return

K-pop group NewJeans member Haerin will make her first official public appearance since returning to ADOR.

Haerin is set to attend a photocall for a luxury beauty brand pop-up event on the afternoon of Sept. 7 at Avenuel Jamsil in Seoul's Songpa district.

The guest list also includes figure skater Kim Yuna, actors Nam Joo-hyuk, Shin Ye-eun and Kim Jae-won, Red Velvet's Joy, models Irene and Bae Yoon-young, and makeup creative and image director Peter Philips.

The event will mark Haerin's first official appearance in about 10 months and her first since announcing her return to ADOR last November.

NewJeans announced the termination of their exclusive contracts with ADOR at an emergency press conference on Nov. 29, 2024. ADOR subsequently filed a lawsuit seeking confirmation that the contracts remained valid. A lower court ruled in the agency's favor last October, finding that the contracts were still valid.

Haerin and Hyein announced their decision to return to ADOR on Nov. 12 last year. Hanni followed in December, while Minji remains in discussions with the agency. No specific plans for NewJeans' future activities have been announced.
