K-POP group Big Ocean is back with new music and a stop on one of fashion's biggest stages. The trio releases its digital single "Love Sign" on Wednesday at noon KST across major music platforms.

Big Ocean is made up of Chanyeon, PJ and Jiseok. The group has drawn attention as a hearing-impaired K-pop act that places sign language at the heart of its performances.

"Love Sign" leans on non-verbal expression, from eye contact to mood, and carries a more mature tone than the group's earlier singles. The track pairs a nu-disco rhythm with English lyrics, a choice aimed at pulling in listeners outside South Korea. As with past releases, sign language sits at the front of the choreography and staging, and the group plans to run short-form challenges built around key signing moves.

The title works on two levels. It plays on the English phrase "What's your sign?" used when asking about a zodiac sign, and it also points directly to sign language. The chorus names three signing systems by their initials: American Sign Language (ASL), British Sign Language (BSL) and Korean Sign Language (KSL). It is a small lyrical choice that doubles as a statement about who the group is.

The release lands right before a runway moment. On Thursday local time, Big Ocean will present the "Big Ocean × Andy Yu Debut Collection" at New York Fashion Week 2027 S/S. The group will appear at the event's presentation show and perform "Love Sign" on site, tying the single's rollout directly to a fashion week debut.

The double booking captures where Big Ocean is heading. The group is building a career that moves between music and fashion, while keeping sign language and international accessibility at the center of everything it puts out.
