BTS's Jungkook Goes Shirtless on Stage, Justin Bieber Reposts the Video

A shirtless stage clip of BTS member Jungkook has drawn fresh attention after pop star Justin Bieber shared it on Instagram. Bieber reposted the video, originally published by Billboard, on Sept. 8.

The clip was filmed during BTS's "ARIRANG" world tour concert at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Sept. 6 local time. In the footage, Jungkook takes the stage wearing an open jacket with no shirt underneath, revealing his toned physique.

The video also captures fellow member J-Hope's reaction. J-Hope appears visibly surprised as he watches Jungkook perform, and an English caption highlighting his response adds a humorous contrast to the moment.

Billboard uploaded the clip to its official social media account with the caption, "Today is so special, right?" Bieber then reposted it to his own account, which has roughly 280 million followers and at the time showed just eight reposts. Jungkook noticed the post, took a screenshot of it and shared it on his own social media.

The exchange has also renewed attention on Jungkook's long-standing admiration for Bieber's music. Since his debut, Jungkook has covered songs including "Purpose," "Nothing Like Us," "2U," "10,000 Hours" and "Changes." On Aug. 31, one day before his birthday, he shared a video of himself singing Bieber's "Lifetime" on the fan platform Weverse.

Bieber has publicly mentioned Jungkook before. On Jungkook's birthday in 2019, he wrote on social media, "Happy bday #JUNGKOOK. They ain't ready:) now watch this tweet go crazy."

BTS is currently on its "ARIRANG" world tour. The group performed four shows at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Sept. 1, 2, 5 and 6.
