wave to earth Makes Waves With Sold-Out World Tour Shows
Korean indie band wave to earth has launched its world tour in Vancouver. The band will play 33 shows across 22 North American cities, eight Asian cities and Seoul through December in support of its second studio album.
The tour, titled "the pieces tour," kicked off at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre in Vancouver on Sept. 4 (local time), the band's agency said on Sept. 11.
The tour follows the release of wave to earth's second studio album, "bad pieces." The band plans to bring the album's new instrumentation and broader range of sounds to the stage.
Several dates have sold out early in the tour. Tickets for the band's San Francisco concert and its show at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles were fully sold.
The tour also takes wave to earth to larger venues. The band is scheduled to headline The Greek Theatre, Radio City Music Hall in New York and Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The Greek Theatre is a historic Los Angeles venue that has hosted artists including Sir Elton John, Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett. Harry Styles, Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina Carpenter have also performed there.
wave to earth will continue the North American leg of "the pieces tour" with stops in Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Dallas and Toronto. The band will then head to Asia for concerts in Bangkok, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Seoul.
