First-Gen K-POP Icons Fin.K.L to Reunite for Full-Group Activities After 21 Years

First-generation K-POP girl group Fin.K.L is preparing to return as a full group, more than two decades after its last official release.

Gemstone E&M announced Sept. 21 that Lee Hyori, Ock Joo-hyun, Lee Jin and Sung Yu-ri are preparing to resume activities together under the Fin.K.L name.

The move marks the group's first formal return since the 2005 digital single "Forever Fin.K.L." The four members previously reunited through JTBC's "Camping Club" in 2019 and released a special song for their 21st anniversary, but that reunion was largely tied to the television project.

This time, the group is preparing for broader activities rather than a one-off reunion, according to the company. Specific plans, including whether the comeback will involve new music or concerts, have yet to be announced.

Fin.K.L debuted in 1998 and became one of the defining girl groups of K-POP's first generation, scoring hits including "Blue Rain," "To My Boyfriend," "Eternal Love" and "Now."

The four members later built separate careers across music, acting, musicals and television. In recent months, they have also been spotted together several times, including a June gathering shared by Ock and another reunion at Lee Hyori's yoga studio in August.

Gemstone E&M said it will work with the members and their respective partners to oversee the group's upcoming activities, with further plans to be unveiled gradually.
