i-dle's Yuqi Returns With Second Solo Mini-Album '27'

K-pop girl group i-dle's Yuqi will return as a solo artist with her second mini-album, "二十七 (27)," on Oct. 8 at 1 p.m. KST. It will be her first solo release in about 13 months, following the single "Motivation" in Sept. 2025.

An artwork teaser unveiled on Sept. 23 shows the number "27," Yuqi's age, on a nail tip. Its accompanying English text compares being 27 to a sunflower growing toward the sun while leaving its shadow behind, suggesting that deep worries can lie beneath a bright smile.

Yuqi's first solo mini-album, "YUQ1," sold more than 550,000 copies in its first week. Its title track, "FREAK," remained on Tencent Music's Korea chart for 100 consecutive weeks. She went on to write every song on "Motivation."

Yuqi will also hold her "2026 YUQI Fan-Con '27'" in four Chinese cities: Guangzhou, Chengdu, Beijing and Shanghai. Further album promotions will be announced in stages.
