Choo Young-woo and Kim So-hyun Play Grad Students in New Drama 'Between Steps'

Actors Choo Young-woo and Kim So-hyun are teaming up as graduate students in a new Korean campus romance. ENA's upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama "Between Steps" will premiere on Oct. 5 at 10 p.m. KST.

The production unveiled a new lecture-hall poster on Tuesday featuring the two leads. In the image, Park Min-jae, played by Choo Young-woo, sits at the front of a classroom while Lim Yoo-jin, played by Kim So-hyun, raises her hand. The two look at each other, but their expressions give little away. A tagline on the poster reads, "Is there a right answer in love?"

"Between Steps" follows two graduate students whose paths cross on campus. Park Min-jae is a doctoral student who was once a competitive swimmer in high school before losing his right leg due to an illness. Lim Yoo-jin is a master's student who lost her sense of direction for a while and is now starting over on a new track.

Choo Young-woo's character gave up his dream of swimming and turned to robotics, where he now focuses on his research. He struggles to express his feelings, and meeting Lim Yoo-jin starts to change something in him. Kim So-hyun plays a soon-to-be graduate of a clothing and textiles program who is weighing her next step. After an incident leaves her labeled a "troublemaker" in her department and prevents her from pursuing graduate studies in her field, she encounters robotics through Park Min-jae.

"Between Steps" premieres Oct. 5 at 10 p.m. KST on ENA. Episodes will also stream on KT's Genie TV and Disney+ immediately after broadcast.
