From Child Star to Leading Lady: Kim You-jung's Sleek Airport Look Draws Eye

Actress Kim You-jung drew attention with a more grown-up look this week as she headed overseas for work. Having spent much of her career in the public eye since childhood, the shift in her presence felt especially clear.

Kim You-jung left for Milan, Italy through Incheon International Airport on the afternoon of Sept. 22 for an overseas schedule.

She wore a striped shirt paired with a black leather jacket, landing on a clean and sleek airport look. Her hair was pulled back neatly, keeping the whole styling simple.

The shirt-and-leather-jacket combination highlighted her more mature charm. The tidy shirt kept things calm, while the black leather jacket, falling naturally over her frame, added a sharper edge. There was no flashy skin or bold statement piece, yet the overall vibe felt notably more mature than before.

Kim You-jung is often cited as a model case of a child star who grew up well. Her distinct features from her younger years are still there, but a more grown-up air has settled in over time. When she smiled and waved at the airport, the familiar sweetness of her earlier work briefly surfaced. At the same time, her overall styling gave her a more feminine and polished presence.

Kim You-jung will next meet viewers through the new tvN Saturday-Sunday drama "100 Days of Lies," which premieres on Oct. 10. Set in 1932 Gyeongseong, the series is a 100-day espionage romance about the city's top pickpocket, now working as a spy, and an elite interpreter for the Japanese Government-General of Korea as they cross paths in the heart of the enemy.

Kim You-jung plays Lee Ga-kyung, a young woman saving up money to leave for the United States. After accepting an offer from an independence group, she becomes a spy, and infiltrates the Government-General disguised as an interpreter trainee.
