2PM's Jang Wooyoung to Spend Christmas in Japan

Jang Wooyoung of K-pop group 2PM will begin a solo concert tour in November, with seven shows scheduled across South Korea, Japan and Taiwan.

Jang shared the concert poster on his official social media accounts on Sept. 28. He will perform in Seoul on Nov. 14 and 15, Hyogo, Japan, on Dec. 25 and 26, Tokyo on Jan. 9 and 10, 2027, and Taipei on March 20.

Ahead of the poster reveal, Jang discussed his plans on his personal YouTube channel, "장우영이" (Jang Wooyoungie). In a video posted the same day, he met Han Jae-sung, his longtime piano teacher and concert session musician, to talk about music.

"I'm planning to hold a solo concert around mid-November," Jang said. "I want to prepare for the concert through the 'Jang Wooyoungie' channel and talk about the show there."

He also shared two goals for the concerts. "I'd love for 'Jang Wooyoungie' to have a theme song," he said. "The first goal is to play the 'Jang Wooyoungie' theme song on piano, and the second is to write a new song and premiere it at the concert."

Jang said he hopes to bring jazz hip-hop, his favorite genre, into the show. "Instead of just dancing to jazz hip-hop on stage, I want to present it through the music itself," he said. "I've never properly performed on piano at a concert before. I really want to give it a try."

Further details about the concerts will be announced through Jang's official social media accounts. He plans to share the preparation process, including songwriting and choreography practice, on his YouTube channel.
