Ahn Hyo-seop Leads K-Chef Competition Drama 'Final Table' on JTBC

Actor Ahn Hyo-seop is returning to JTBC with a new cooking competition drama, "Final Table." The network is leaning on the project for a lift as it heads into a sale process, hoping Ahn Hyo-seop can follow the success of "Dr. Romantic 3," which peaked at 16.8 percent in viewership.

The team behind "Final Table" released a special poster featuring Ahn Hyo-seop's character, Kang Han, on Oct. 6. The drama is set against a fictional cooking competition called "The Table: K Chef 2026," which gathers Korean chefs from around the world to crown the best in the field.

In the poster, Kang Han stands at a kitchen station with a relaxed expression, exuding confidence as he enters into the survival-style contest. The tagline reads, "A battle on the plate, a story on the table."

The series will follow contestants as they compete through different stages of the competition, from choosing ingredients to the final plating. Kang Han and the other chefs take on a series of missions in pursuit of the top prize. Their different cooking styles and personal backgrounds collide along the way, with each round revealing more of their individual stories.

"Final Table" premieres on Oct. 24 at 10:40 p.m. KST. It will stream on Disney+ in South Korea and on Amazon Prime Video internationally.
