Kim Do-yeon's Deep V-Neck Dress Steals Spotlight at Busan Film Festival
Actress Kim Do-yeon brought runway-model energy to the opening night of the Busan International Film Festival, turning heads in a black bold gown that show of her statuesque figure
Kim walked the red carpet on Oct. 6 at the Busan Cinema Center in Busan's Haeundae district for the opening ceremony of the 31st Busan International Film Festival (BIFF). She posed for photographers in a long black gown, skipping statement jewelry and letting her height, long proportions, and sharp features do the work.
Her dress featured a deep V-neckline that plunged nearly to the sternum as shimmering details ran across the fabric, playing up the chic, sharp mood Kim is known for. The cut put her lean arms, defined collarbones, and straight shoulders on full display, giving her the kind of presence more often seen on a Paris runway than a film festival carpet.
The daring neckline did come with a trade-off as the structured bodice did not completely conform to her frame. The fabric lifted slightly around the chest in some photos creating a more relaxed and dramatic effect rather than a sculpted silhouette.
Now in its 31st year, BIFF runs through October 15. The festival will screen a total of 315 films, including 246 official invitation titles from 59 countries, across 31 screens at eight theaters, including the Busan Cinema Center.
