ILLIT Lets Fans Unlock New "BREAK EVEN" Photos Through Rhythm Game

ILLIT is giving fans a new way to experience its upcoming mini album "BREAK EVEN," launching a mobile rhythm game that lets players unlock previously unreleased concept photos.

The group opened 'Break Whistle' on October 8, introducing an interactive game built around the themes of its fifth mini album and the melody of title track "You're Under Arrest."

The game follows a character trying to move on from a relationship that no longer gives back as much as they put into it.

Whenever memories of the person appear, players must blow a whistle in time with the music to interrupt them, turning the album's message of letting go into a rhythm-based challenge.

The gameplay also incorporates references to ILLIT's previous releases, with magnets, wisdom teeth and cats appearing as fragments of memories. Each symbol connects to imagery or lyrics featured in the group's earlier music and videos.

As the game progresses, players move through three stages named after the album's concepts: BURNING, QUIET and MAD.

The difficulty increases alongside the character's growing frustration, while the QUIET and MAD stages offer fans their first look at concept photos from those versions of the upcoming album.

After completing the game, players can view the images and see how their scores compare with those of other participants worldwide, including their global percentile ranking.

The game also features dialogue reflecting the character's attempt to move on, including lines such as "I don't think about them at all" and "Who said I was crying? I was yawning."

Break Whistle is available to play through breakwhistle.com, with access also provided through ILLIT's official social media accounts.

Meanwhile, "You're Under Arrest" is an electropop track about ending a relationship with someone whose habitual kindness created misleading romantic expectations. The song incorporates a prominent whistle sound, which has also become a central feature of its choreography.

Ahead of the album's release, ILLIT has previewed a dance challenge built around the whistle melody and easy-to-follow movements, with fans already sharing their own versions on TikTok and YouTube Shorts.

"BREAK EVEN" is scheduled for release on October 26.
