ATEEZ Sets Sail on a New Journey: November Comeback Ahead
K-pop boy group ATEEZ is set to return with a new album on November 13. The release follows the group's third No. 1 on the Billboard 200 earlier this year.
The group's agency, KQ Entertainment, posted a comeback spoiler video for "GOLDEN HOUR : Part.6" on its official social media at midnight on October 8, confirming the release date. The new album arrives about five months after the group's 14th EP, "GOLDEN HOUR : Part.5," which came out in June.
The teaser features surreal imagery centered on the ship that has long served as a symbol of ATEEZ. One scene shows a ship on a monitor in a frozen space, with a skull positioned in front of it, while another places a massive ship in an everyday setting.
Scenes depicting the aftermath of a collision are followed by a ship pushing through rough waves, hinting at the next chapter of the group's story. The accompanying tagline, "CRASH TO BEGIN," suggests that the collision marks a new beginning and hints at the album's direction.
ATEEZ earned its third career No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with "GOLDEN HOUR : Part.5." The EP sold 223,000 copies in the U.S. during its first week, a career high for the group, and became its ninth album to reach the chart's top 10.
The title track "BAD" continued to draw attention after the group wrapped up official promotions. In September, roughly three months after its release, the song ranked No. 1 on SBS's "Inkigayo" for two consecutive weeks without the group appearing on the show. Clips of member San performing the chorus choreography also drew attention on social media, keeping the song in the spotlight.
"GOLDEN HOUR : Part.6" is set for release on November 13 at 2 p.m. KST.
